Resolved - This issue is now resolved, and we've confirmed that new and recently changed Google Ads campaigns are syncing normally again. Existing budgets and spend tracking were not affected at any point. Thank you for your patience.

Monitoring - We've deployed a fix for the delayed campaign data and are now monitoring recovery. The issue was caused by an unusually high volume of campaign-refresh requests to the Google Ads API, which triggered a temporary rate limit and caused some refreshes to return no results. Our fix removes those redundant requests and adds safeguards so the limit is no longer being reached, and newly created and recently modified Google Ads campaigns are being retrieved and displayed normally again.

Affected accounts continued to connect and sync throughout, and existing budgets and spend tracking were not affected at any point.

We're now watching closely to confirm the fix holds and that any previously missing campaigns have caught up. If a specific campaign still isn't showing, refreshing that account in Shape will pull it in.

Thank you for your patience.

Identified - We've identified an issue that can prevent some newly created or recently modified Google Ads campaigns from appearing in Shape. Affected accounts connect and sync normally, but the impacted campaigns may not show up when building or editing a budget, and may be missing from campaign lists.

The cause is a temporary limit being applied by the Google Ads API to how frequently we can retrieve campaign data, which is causing some campaign-refresh requests to return no results for affected accounts. Existing budgets and spend tracking are not affected — this is limited to the discovery of new or updated campaigns.

Our team has identified the root cause and is actively working on a fix. We'll post another update as soon as the fix is in progress or resolved.

Thank you for your patience.

Resolved - The issue causing dataset syncs to remain stuck "In Progress" has been resolved. All affected syncs have completed and datasets are updating normally. Thank you for your patience.
Jul 6, 23:37 UTC
Monitoring - A fix has been deployed and we are re-running the affected dataset syncs. We're monitoring to confirm datasets return to normal, up-to-date syncing. Some datasets may take a short time to fully catch up.
Jul 6, 19:29 UTC
Investigating - We are aware of and investigating an issue where some scheduled dataset syncs — including Google Sheets–powered datasets — are stuck in an "In Progress" state and not completing. Affected datasets may show stale data or 0% sync progress. Existing data remains available and unaffected; only new sync updates are delayed.

Resolved - Resolved: We have fully resolved the issue affecting automated Google Ads budget updates. Beginning June 26, a change to how the Google Ads API handles certain high-volume reporting queries caused delays in automated budget pacing updates for some accounts. Our engineering team identified the root cause and rolled out a series of updates to align with Google's new API requirements. All automated budget syncing and pacing is now operating normally. We appreciate your patience throughout this process and apologize for any disruption this may have caused to your campaigns.

Update - A recent change on Google's side affected how their advertising API handles larger data requests. As a result, the volume of data Shape was retrieving for each budget campaign update became significantly more costly to process, which caused Google Ads spend data to update less frequently than normal for a period. This change specifically was impacting token level quota limits, and in some cases, this could have delayed automated budget pacing.

We've streamlined how Shape requests Google Ads data so it's pulled far more efficiently, and Google Ads spend data is now updating normally again. We are actively monitoring to confirm everything stays stable.

Additional refinements to this part of the system will continue rolling out over the next several days to make it more resilient going forward. If any upcoming change is customer-impacting or requires action on your part, we'll be sure to communicate that directly.

Monitoring - Update: This was caused by recent changes on Google's side to how their Ads API handles large, data-heavy reporting queries (including impression-share metrics). We're rolling out updates to align with Google's new guidance. We'll continue deploying the remaining changes over the next several days and will post another update once everything is fully back to normal.

Investigating - Our team is currently investigating an issue that is preventing Shape from applying automated budget changes to some connected Google Ads accounts. We will keep you posted here as we learn more.
